Sexual abuse in nursing homes is a horrific reality that impacts too many people. It occurs in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
It is especially egregious because the victims are often compromised. They depend on many people around them to protect them and sometimes they struggle to communicate they have been victimized.
If you know or suspect a loved one has been sexually abused in a nursing home or assisted living facility please report it and contact my office. I can help you understand your options and pursue the sexual abuser if you decide that is what is best.
